Why Air Purification Matters
Indoor air can be significantly more polluted than outdoor air, especially in enclosed environments like homes, offices, and vehicles. Dust, allergens, bacteria, mold spores, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can circulate continuously – impacting health, comfort, and productivity.

Benefits of Indoor Air Purification Systems
Air purification systems are designed to remove or neutralize airborne contaminants, helping create a cleaner, healthier indoor environment.

Air Purification FAQs
How does air ionization work?
An air ionizer produces negative ions (Anion) that are negatively charged, thus becoming extremely unstable by nature. Oxygen molecules by nature have eight electrons. Anion has nine or ten. Since the molecule is unstable, as soon as it collides with other chemical bonds such as wildfire odor molecules, it gives away the extra electron and breaks down the chemical bond of the odor molecule, and converts them into H2O and CO2. This process breaks down viruses, mildew, and odors in the air forming bipolar clusters that are sucked up into your return vent – trapping the contaminants in your filter.
What is the difference between air purifiers and air filters?
Air purifiers actively neutralize pollutants, while filters primarily capture particles. Plasma air purification goes further by breaking down contaminants at a molecular level, offering a more thorough approach to improving indoor air quality.
Is plasma air purification safe?
Yes – modern plasma systems are designed to safely improve indoor air quality when properly installed. Our SONA systems meet rigorous safety standards and have been tested extensively for both residential and commercial use.
Do I need a whole home system or a portable unit?
It depends on your space and needs. Whole home systems (SONA Ducty) provide full coverage through your HVAC system, while portable units (SONA Mobion) offer targeted solutions for specific rooms, travel, or personal use.
