  • HVAC upgrade options that introduce ions in the air to combat and destroy harmful viruses.
  • HVAC humidity control to reduce respiratory concerns.
  • The best in filtered water technology at the kitchen sink to reduce contaminants.
  • Hands-free kitchen faucet to avoid contact with germs.
  • Low VOC paints and flooring to emit less chemicals.
  • In home air quality sensors to detect air contaminants such as Radon, VOCs, Particulate Matter (2.5, 10) and Carbon Dioxide.

Combining technology with best practices will allow you to be informed as best as possible and allow you to mitigate and control the spread of harmful viruses and bacteria.

Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality is a must for all spaces. The more occupants in a space, the greater the importance of air quality. Not only does proper air quality keep us safe and healthy, but it also improves our overall sense of well being, mental state and productivity.

Sanitation and Hygiene

Proper sanitation and hygiene will not only allow your spaces to look beautiful, but will also help prevent possible contamination, pest control and help maintain your air clean. Dirty spaces can lead to dust and other particulate buildup, which you may eventually begin to breathe in. Ensure proper cleaning techniques are in place, check your HVAC filters every two months for maximum efficiency, use a central vacuum system (if your home has one), and use low chemical emitting products when disinfecting surfaces.

Safe Use of Chemicals

Safe Use of Chemicals

Air pollutants can be two to five times higher indoors than outdoors. Proper ventilation is a good method to remove the chemicals. It’s best to ensure the chemicals don’t make their way into your home in the first place.

One of the major chemicals found in the home are volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs are emitted from paints, stains, gas stoves, composite wood, glues, finishes and carpets. Cleaners and air fresheners are another common source of VOCs. VOCs can affect our health by irritating our eyes and nose or trigger asthma attacks. One of the most common VOC is formaldehyde, which is known to cause cancer. You can reduce exposure to formaldehyde by choosing low-emission products without formaldehyde or other harmful VOCs. When painting or staining inside your space, look for products with low emitting labels and certifications for low VOC emitting. Always remember to ventilate your space!

Healthy and Safe Workplaces

Healthy workspaces begin with ensuring the best air quality possible. This can be accomplished by using the following best practices: proper filtration, proper ventilation, humidity and temp control and air purification. Combining these methods will allow your spaces to have adequate air circulation, giving you more effective filtration for the air you breathe, keeping the temperature at a comfortable setting, maintaining proper humidity to avoid respiratory problems and finally, will ensure your spaces are purified to control the spread of harmful viruses.

Healthy Spaces

Healthy Spaces

Healthy spaces are spaces which apply the best practices in maintaining the proper air quality levels. Healthy spaces use recommendations from national and world standards to maintain healthy air quality for building occupants. Additionally, healthy spaces follow proper procedures for cleaning, use low chemical emitting products and continuously update their spaces to mitigate the spread of viruses and bacteria. As the world is adapting to the spread of viruses, our spaces need to also adapt to become healthy spaces.
